Street Sounds Radio
Street Sounds Radio is een Engels radiostation dat sinds 31 augustus 2020 om 12 uur 's middags is gestart. Het radiostation is gevestigd in Engeland en zend 24 uur per dag, zeven dagen per week uit via DAB+, internet en via mobiele App. De doelgroep van het radiostation is voornamelijk gericht op black, club en street music uit de jaren '70, '80, '90, 2000 tot en met 2010. Genres die op dit station voorbij komen bestaat uit een diversiteit aan Soul, Funk, Jazz, Jazz-Funk, Hip Hop, Electro, Boogie, Disco, Club Anthems, Rare Grooves, RnB, Reggae en House.
Street Sounds Platenlabel
Street Sounds werd in 1982 opgericht door Morgan Khan en werd al snel de marktleider van compilatiealbums, gespecialiseerd in muziek van zwarte oorsprong, inclusief alle stijlen van straatmuziek. Het platenlabel Street Sounds heeft in zijn 38-jarige geschiedenis een belangrijke rol gespeeld bij het vormgeven en definiëren van straatmuziek. Het label was verantwoordelijk voor het introduceren en pionieren van verschillende belangrijke muziekgenres, waaronder hiphop/rap en housemuziek op de Britse en Europese markten. De lancering van Street Sounds Radio is ontstaan uit de behoefte om de nieuwste, meest openhartige muziek uit de straten van Amerika bloot te stellen en beschikbaar te maken voor het Britse en Europese publiek.
